The exam required for EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH)® certification will test the understanding and knowledge of weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems.
To be eligible to apply to sit for the CEH (ANSI) exam, a candidate must either:
- Have a minimum of 2 years work experience in InfoSec domain, or
- Have attended an official EC-Council training.

A CEH certification is valid for three years. To renew your CEH certification, you must:
- Earn 120 EC-Council Continuing Education (ECE) credits within a three-year period.
- Earn a minimum of 30 credits per year.
- Participcate in the ECE program.
